Carrita Tanner-Cloud’s journey from a part-time side gig to a full-service marketing and advertising agency is a testament to her hard work and determination. Starting off with humble beginnings, working out of a walk-in closet with just an old PC, she built Creativity Justified into a successful business with a team of 17 full- and part-time staffers and contractors.
When pregnancy complications forced her to reevaluate her career in corporate health care, Tanner-Cloud seized the opportunity to focus all her energy on her business. This summer, she was accepted into the Super Bowl LIX Source procurement program, which aims to provide diverse business owners with opportunities to compete for contracts related to the upcoming Super Bowl in New Orleans.
The program, which accepted over 200 business owners out of 1,400 applicants, offers exposure and access to NFL contracts and other opportunities. Participants had to prove their capacity to fulfill Super Bowl subcontracting needs and were judged based on various criteria such as websites, customer service capabilities, and responsiveness.
Accepted businesses will provide a range of services such as printing, security, transportation, food and beverage, and event staffing. They will also have the opportunity to meet with Super Bowl Host Committee and NFL Source officials to better understand their services and participate in networking events to grow their businesses.
For business owners like Joshua Culp, owner of Hammerdubs, the program has already led to bidding on contracts and networking opportunities. Corey Rosales, owner of American Safety, is excited about the potential for growth and partnerships with other local minority businesses.
Tanner-Cloud’s success in securing contracts for the Super Bowl LIX Source program has opened up new opportunities for her business, including contracts with the New Orleans Saints and the recreation department in Baton Rouge. She emphasizes the importance of these opportunities in helping her business grow and reach new heights.
As the Super Bowl approaches, Tanner-Cloud is focused on continuing to build her business and establish herself as a top agency in the industry. The program has given her the chance to showcase her skills and capabilities, paving the way for future success and growth.
