Local Lands NYC Balloon Exhibition
Lilia Gray of Amor Sorpresa, LLC recently participated in the world-record breaking balloon exhibition “Balloon Story” in New York City. The exhibition, located in the iconic Park Avenue Armory, brought together 100 of the top balloon artists from around the world to create an immersive and interactive experience using over 700,000 eco-friendly latex balloons. Gray’s team, known for their creativity and attention to detail, created a stunning display titled “Under the Sea,” featuring larger-than-life sea creatures that captivated visitors of all ages.
The exhibition, which is open to the public until August 25, has been receiving rave reviews for its unique and imaginative displays. Visitors can explore the various installations, interact with the balloons, and even take photos to capture the magic of the event. For those unable to attend in person, there is also a virtual tour available on the exhibition’s website, as well as a feature on Fox5 New York showcasing the “Under the Sea” exhibit.
Scramble Wine Tasting
In celebration of National Book Lover’s Day, Scramble will be hosting a wine tasting event on Friday, August 9 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. This event coincides with their Bonanza Deal, which runs every Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. During the wine tasting, guests can enjoy a selection of wines while also participating in a raffle with prizes that promote reading to all ages. The Best of Arlington Includes Falls Church
Arlington Magazine has opened voting for the Best of Arlington, which includes categories for people, places, and local businesses. This year, Falls Church and McLean are also included in the voting process. Participants are required to provide responses in at least 5 categories and provide contact information. The survey deadline is September 6 at 5:00 pm, and the results will be published in the January/February issue of Arlington Magazine. National Oyster Week at Dogwood Tavern
Dogwood Tavern is celebrating National Oyster Week through August 11 with special offerings from the bar and raw bar. Each day, there will be a different oyster special for guests to enjoy, along with live music featuring Ryan Paladino on August 9 and Tad Howard on August 10.
